A thin line between Love and disaster

I know sometimes we let our emotions and Lust mingle together and we start to think we are in LOVE. Sometimes the person is totally wrong for you and you think it's perfect because of the pheremones. But sometimes you really need to sit back and think about whether this person is really a good match for you personally, physically, emotionall,y spiritually, and in terms of life... Don't make mistakes people. Pray on it and Open your eyes cuz sooner or later your eyes will open... Hopefully sooner than later. And what you saw might not be what you have gotten into... just pray that you make right decision though...

My good friend Dami always says too... we are all adults... you need to do with the flow and be honest about what you want and need.

Positive Women's Day!

positive! i love when girls can uplift eachother! its such a great thing. lets acknowledge women. Tell a random girl if she is rockin it! tell her if she's a goood role model. tell her if she's doing her thing. Tell ur sis, your mom, your bestie, a stranger, even a girl you cant stand. find that positive thing and let them know you appreciate that positive thing they have or do!

Uhhhgggg! U disgust me! lol!

Today Im pretty disgusted. lol I didnt see someone puke, or let one rip. I saw a seriously grown man make a promise and not keep it. lol There's one thing to make a promise that by some unforseen reason cannot be fulfilled and then let the people you promise know that you cannot fulfill it. Its another thing to go around promising left and right things you know you cannot fulfill and keep going around like you can or keep pulling the wool over peoples eyes. Lets all be adults!!! lets do what we can and promise what we can guarantee and not play games. It is really not cute and takes away from your moral character. People will catch on and start to think less of you. lol

As to the title... i was so pissed at the habitual fakery of this person... i just had to shout out "Uhhgggg! You really disgust me!" was it wrong? Yes o! it was! Thank goodness that I said it in the quiet of my own home! lol I'm a wimp! I know. But I cant hurt someone's feelings like that. I wont advise anyone to say something like that either to someone. even if they are self invloved egotistical promise breakers because those are the ones that will slap you. lol.

Harvard Professor Arrested for Being Black?

Wow I've been so busy this week that I didn't hear this piece of news.

A Harvard Professor was arressted in his own home for "disorderly conduct" . The story goes that he was dropped off by a driver who picked him up at the airport after a trip to china. When he tried to get into his home, the door was jammed. A passerby saw this and called the police. The professor used his back door key and got in but also tried to open the front door from the inside with the help of his driver, but it was jammed. A few minutes later, police come to the residence. They say they are investigating a breakin, he shows them his ID that also shows that he lives there. They continue to question him about the break. why question him about the breakin after he shows that he lives there? and then he gets mad, yells that they are still there because he is Black and that he wants their badge number and name. I would too! He says they never gave him the name and badge number. but I also have had experiences with the East Lansing Police not giving me their badge number and name. As an ordinary citizen, there is nothing I can do apparently because when I wanted to complain, they gave me the run-around.

As he was yelling at them to leave his house and that they were doing the wrong thing, he steps out of his house. Bam! Arrested!Well I guess I am giving my understanding of the story, but they kept asking him to step out of his house. If he only knew that you are pretty much safe in your house unless they get a warrant. I never knew this. People, stay in your homes, stay inside. when the police come, please let them stay on the outside of the door to talk to you. If they want to arrest you, let them get probable cause and a warrant. I dont want to say that there is racism, working here, but Cambridge police are making it hard for me not to say that. I know the EGO the police have sometimes. As a law abiding student it's scary that I and afraid of police. I think the image of the police in the black community is really tarnished. Especially because I have lived in Philadelphia, Maryland and Michigan where I do think police are a little brutal, rude, and abuse their power. Who will police the police? Just a thought.

Anyway, they arrested gates and charged him with disorderly conduct. Now they have dropped the charges. But gates still wants an apology. What do you think? do you think Gates should get an apology.

My thoughts: Once the ID was checked, police should have bid him farewell and gone on their way. Maybe Gates was a little condescending;we dont know. But as an officer of hte law representing the gov and on duty, you have to be calm, alert, and investigate whats going on, not jump to conclusions of whats going on. Some things are clear cut. All you have to do is run his ID number and move on if no laws are broken. So i do believe that everything afterwards that occured was the police officers fault, so the police officer should apologize for taking it to that level. Police work for the PEOPLE and should be respectful and polite. I see police saying rude things and behaving almightly when in reality they should just do their job. People as well we know the police officer sacrifices a lot for us, life, sanity, etc, and we are thankful, but relations really need to be fixed.

Oh remember the black off duty cop who was shot by police?

Anyway the bigger question is... do you think racism dissapeared when Obama was elected? lol!

Can I live? Can I experiment? Can I make mistakes? Can I learn from them? No matter what, I’ll still be nimble on my feet and have a twinkle in my eye. Twinkle Toes Knows Best is a blog that satisfied my I2KNOW personality. I use this blog to vent on the crazy things I do and see in life. I’ll give my view and advice even if it’s not asked for. So this is my rant and rave blog. Be prepared. I’m not anti-marriage. I don’t hate men. I actually love them. I’m not condescending. I’m not elitist. However, I do want people to make the best decisions in their life for themselves and their children if they have any. We should be the best we can be. I’m not perfect. Far from it, but I’m also lucky enough to also see the mistakes others make to learn from things I don’t have to go trough and ensure I don’t make the same mistakes. I agree life is complicated and not black or white, but one thing I know is dichotomous is happiness. You either are or you aren’t. Are YOU happy? Are the things you are doing in your life or the decision making you happy? If not, let’s re-evaluate and make sure you are living your best life!
